Beaver Tail Vegetable Tanned Leather

Beavertail has an incredibly unique pattern that is ideal for fine leather work, inlay and small accessories.

These hides are sustainably sourced and vegtanned in Canada. The North American beaver is a wonderful "exotic" leather alternative. Approx 5”x11" average at widest points As these are wild caught animals, there maybe be inconsistencies within the hide. We generally recommend backing these with a thin liner leather like pigskin to help with any pinholes/thin spots.

Natural Brown is a brown natural vegtan colour, very standard honey tone.

Black has been lightly dyed to give a mottled hue. Use a conditioner/oil/finisher to darken.

NOTE: As we are running low on stock, there will be some rougher pieces in the batch. Please do note that these are still very well priced compared to the market, and are possibly the last batch of beavertails that will be tanned in Canada. Get it while you can!
